Former President Bill Clinton is Eating a Plant-Based Diet! : Learn About His “Experiment”.

As I logged onto Facebook today, I began to see swarms of Organizations and friends posting about former President, Bill Clinton’s talk on CNN with Wolf Blitzer, about switching to a plant-based diet.

Bill has gone Vegan folks! Yes, it’s true! – With the exception of eating some fish. And he is adamant about letting us know he eats, “…very little fish, once in a while I’ll have a little fish. Not often.”. Regardless of occasionally eating fish, I think this is too cool! Go Bill! I got your back on this one!

“I live on beans, legumes, vegetables, fruit. I drink a protein supplement every morning. No dairy. I drink almond milk mixed in with fruit and a protein powder, so I get the protein for the day when I start the day out.”

With Clinton unleashing his recent dietary preference, I am confident that this will inspire a whole new bracket of people to, if anything, at least consider the benefits of a plant-based vegan diet.

Since going on the mostly vegan diet back in May, the former President has lost 24 pounds and improved his health. In my opinion, he looks fantastic and seems to be very pleased with the lifestyle.

I’m betting Clinton’s daughter, Chelsea, had a little something to do with this – since she is, herself, a vegan. Chelsea’s wedding in July even had a vegan, vegetarian, gluten free (Chelsea’s allergic to gluten) menu with the exception of some grass fed beef. The wedding’s vegan, vegetarian & gluten free dishes were prepared by Josh Kroner of Terrapin Restaurant, located in the cozy town Rhinebeck, New York (I love Rhinebeck, NY. If you haven’t been, you must go!).
