Intuition or Fear – Do You Know the Difference?

Are you familiar with that unnerving feeling in your belly, a tingling – sending shock all over your body, or sudden hair raising goosebumps that strike out of nowhere? They are all filled with silent screams, you can almost hear them if you listened close enough. Perhaps you’ve witnessed this when you are entering a new relationship, walking into a room full of strangers or made a king-sized choice in your life.

*

I’ve noticed that I have that same feeling when my intuition is sending me a red flag and also when I’ve experienced fear. So how can I tell the difference? I’ll admit, it’s not always that easy. It can be very tricky at times, deciphering between the two. I promptly alter my perception of it being tricky, and know that obtaining the information is easy – if I try, if I do the work to receive the answer. The answers are always there for us.

*

So what do I do? Well, first of all I recognize the feeling and what may have triggered it. And I simply ask myself, “Tara, are you scared?” Sometimes, a “yes” pops up, and I’m able to work myself through a fear. Sometimes, “I don’t know“, and I have to dig deeper into the mystery of my feelings and the all too powerful mind. And sometimes, it’s an effortless, “no“.

*

If I come up with a “no“, I proceed with asking the Life Force/Universe/God, “What do I need to know right now?”. At times this is very obvious, yet I don’t want to believe the truth. I’m given an answer before the outcome happens. I’m being warned. So what do I do? Well I have a choice to listen or not to listen. I can learn the easy way or the hard way. And I have a choice at that moment to trust myself. To believe in myself.

I believe a lot of intuition has to do with listening to what is being said, shown and/or felt (you may be auditory/visual/kinestenic) and trusting yourself to pay attention to the message. Occasionally, the answer is diluted with buts. “But maybe….”, “But this time….”, “But why….”. Your intuition knows and you may not be willing to accept it. Allow yourself to move past that. Be truthful with yourself.

*

I know we’ve all said this, “You know I had a feeling that was going to happen, but I didn’t listen to myself.”. Take into consideration what I have said and give yourself some mini tests. For example, if you are asked to go somewhere and that signal comes chiming in, pay attention to it. Figure it out what it is you are feeling. Maybe you shouldn’t go for some unknown reason (That you don’t need to find out. Trust yourself curious kitties!) or maybe you just don’t want to go and are in fear of your family and/or friends being disappointed with you, if you say no.

*

So dear friends, let’s encompass every day with believing in ourselves. For then, we shall all also believe in one another.

*

Trust your instincts and intuition, and overcome your fears. I believe in you!

Beauty From Love: “I know that my intuition is for me. I will listen to it’s guidance and make conscious choices for my greater good. I know the difference between intuition and fear, and am confident in working with both of them to grow as a Being on this Earth. I am thankful for these gifts of insight.
